Emergency Preparedness Training
Emergency preparedness is important. Whether your interest is in basic first aid for general knowledge and safety, to fulfill a workplace requirement, or to pursue a healthcare career, you can obtain certification here. CPR saves lives, and it begins with community involvement and training.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Re-Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is taught on the third Tuesday of each month, 1 pm to 5 pm, at Trinity Life Support. Please call 530-623-2500 to enroll.

Emergency Medical Technician
Next Course: March 29, 2023 through June 8, 2023
Course Description
This is an intensive course to assist the student with developing skills to recognize signs and symptoms of illness and injuries, and proper procedures in emergency care. Upon successful completion of the course and the National Registry written and skills examination, the student must make an application through Nor-Cal EMS for certification.
Course is 180 hours of varied assignments and classroom activities including lecture/discussion, skills, interactive scenarios, testing and clinical observation time.
Pre-Requisites
· Current CPR certification at the Healthcare Provider Level
· Proof of immunizations
· 17 ½ years of age
· Physical fitness adequate to lift and move patients, utilize tools and equipment safely
· A positive, compassionate, and caring attitude
Course Schedule
Class meets weekly on Wednesday and Thursday 5:00 pm - 10:00pm.
Class also meets on 7 separate Saturdays - 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Snow days may occur for student safety
Missed classes will have to be made up
Uniform shirt and photo ID (provided)
Navy blue or black pants (EMS pants preferred) or slacks. No jeans See attached

Professional conduct with full and active participation in discussion, skills, and scenarios
Attendance – All absences must be cleared by the instructor
Maximum of 8 hours
Grading is based on performance in all assignments, activities, skills, clinical time, quiz and test scores

Responsibility of the student to either purchase or rent

EMT Course - $950.00 payable by March 20th by cash, check, or Money Order
EMT Refresher - $450.00 payable by March 20th by cash, check, or Money Order
No refunds after the end of the second class
